Bellevue Farm Classic Shetlands

Terms and Conditions

- We require a $150 deposit on ponies under $1000 and $250 over $1000. -

Below is a list of guidelines that we use for selling our ponies.  We are easy to work with and if you have any questions please drop us an email.  Prices and availability are to subject to change without notification.

Vaccination & Health - Health Papers and Coggins Test are included in the cost of the ponies listed on the Sales List.  Any additional tests or shots are the responsibility of the buyer.  We start vaccinating all of our ponies when they are yearlings for Tetanus, Eastern and Western Sleeping Sickness and West Niles Virus every May.  We worm our ponies at least four times a year and we alternate between paste wormers and feed additives.  We believe that healthy ponies come from a good vaccination program, a great diet and plenty of exercise.  Our young mares, geldings, stallions and herd sires are grained and hayed (alfalfa) twice a day and get plenty of exercise in large pens or runs.  Our broodmares are out to pasture from May to November and we wean our foals from the mares in September and October.  Then our mares roam 60 acres of corn stalks and are grained daily from November until April, during this time we also hay them accordingly depending on weather conditions and how much feed is available in our stalk fields.  All of our ponies have year long access to salt blocks and mineral blocks or tubs, during the fly season we use mineral blocks with Rabon, an oral larvacide.  We start using Kent Rabon Mineral Block 10 early in the spring and we use it through the fall.  This prevents the development of house and stable flies in the manure of our treated ponies, but it doesn't help against existing adult flies.

Payment - We accept cash, money orders, cashiers checks and personal checks.  We require a nonrefundable deposit on each pony.  Ponies will not be held without a deposit.  We mark your pony with the "Sale Pending" label until the deposit has been received.  Once the deposit has been received and funded, we then consider your pony "Sold".  The remaining balance is due in 30 days or until shipping can be arranged.   All ponies must be paid in full and funds must clear our bank prior to shipment.  Payments can be arranged with us, but a minor boarding fee may be charged.

Transportation - The buyer is in charge of arranging transportation.  We have dealt with several equine transportation companies and can give you a list of them so you can get some quotes.  We will be posting a list of transportation companies in the next couple of months in this space for your convenience.  Once you have arranged transportation, please let us know who you are using so we can talk with them and schedule pickup.
