At Bellevue Farm Classic Shetland Ponies our goal is to breed the complete Classic Shetland Pony.  This is a pony which is a well balanced, smooth bodied pony with conformation and disposition.  We believe that good conformation is not just one, but all of the following qualities: correct feet and legs, a strong top line, an elegant head and neck, and a strong, solid rear end.  The stallions and mares we use in our breeding program have these qualities and come from foundation bloodlines.  What we strive to achieve is breeding top quality Classic Shetland Ponies that are demanded from all pony enthusiasts.   We sell most of our Shetland Ponies as weanlings, yearlings or two year olds, but we do offer a few breeding stallions and bred (pasture exposed) mares each year.  Whether you are looking for stallions, mares, riding ponies, or show-ring prospects, we will find the Classic Shetland Pony that will work for you.

Spring Song is a very pretty headed mare with a nice topline and excellent tailset.  She has had three very nice foals for us, including a stunning 2010 pinto filly, McCall's TJ Rhea, sired by McCall's KL Top Jet.  She is pasture exposed to Royal Freckles for a 2012 foal.  We purchased Spring Song as a yearling and we would not be offering her for sale, except that we have decided to concentrate on our Red Rock bloodlines.  She has a good disposition, but must be haltered in close quarters.  This is a great chance to purchase a very nice young exposed mare that is a proven producer.

Bullseye's Wild Thing

Foaled:  May 9, 1992
Registration:  ASPC 140889A      Foundation Certified  #2526

Wild Thing has been a part of our breeding program for over 10 years, and we are in no hurry to sell her, but we are offering her for sale as we have a daughter of her's in our breeding program.  She lost her left eye as a yearling, but it does not affect her disposition or her ability to raise and produce great foals.  Wild Thing is the dam of  G&S Molly Brown, who is in the Hall of Fame.  The picture to the right was taken at 19 years of age with foal at side.  This is a very rare chance to purchase a Bullseye daughter and add some great bloodlines to your breeding program.

One Hundred Grand is a nice young daughter of Bullseye's Wild Thing.  We think there is a strong possibility that she is Homozygous Tobiano, but we have not had her tested yet.  She has excellent motion and extension to her trot and would make a great driving pony.  She handles well, but must be haltered in close quarters.  One Hundred Grand was pasture exposed to Mr. Cool RDS for a 2012 foal.  She is a little thin in the pictures shown from raising her first foal, but has rebounded since weaning time and is in great condition now.

Hope is a lovely flaxen chestnut minimal Splash White mare with one blue eye and one hazel eye. Hope has beautiful movement and she loves to show it off out in the pasture. She is one of those ponies that watches everything that goes on around her and is incredibly curious. Hope is haltered best with the feed bucket handy and is not overly trusting, but once caught she will do anything you ask. Stands well for the farrier, vet, etc and she does best in a herd situation.
